Of the over 900 members inducted by the Gnomes, more than half are post-1949 additions to the roster. Club membership is offered annually to a select group of students from the graduating class. Memberships are also offered to a few Caltech alumni, faculty, staff, and friends for their service to the Institute, its students, and its alumni.
